Well didn't get a call from our crazy painter yesterday but he rang from his home phone at 9.15am today saying he was heading out to our place (wish I could sleep in that late).
He just wanted to check we hadn't changed any of the paint colours before he started.
He confirmed he's working this week and next week and should be finished by Thursday next week.
By the sounds of what our supervisor said and his voice on the phone this guy is a bit of an interesting character but lets hope he's a good painter! lol!
Went for a look at the house quickly last night, didn't look like anything much had been done.
This has been installed, can anyone tell me what it is? Something to do with our natural gas?
The pallets are getting more and more buried the more it rains!
Stupid other builder at the back has taken his silt net down now too! I love how them just dump it on the vacant block and not put it in a bin! grrr!
And it seems he's doing some plumbing at the back of his block near the back of ours...
Eek! Hopefully the supervisors digging today helps some of this mess!
So the fencing went up and the in laws yesterday. How great does it look?!
It's called Knotwood (http://www.knotwood.com.au/index.html) and its actually aluminium but looks like wood. I think we'll use it for out side fences/gates so we don't have to continually be re-oiling timber!
Now we just need the new pavers and tiles to go down and it will look like a brand new pool area!
Thanks for the knotwood link. That's exactly the stuff we are after as we both like the timber look but couldn't be bothered maintaining it.
ReplyDeleteDo you know if it's much more expensive than regular timber?
That gas thing you have on your house is a gas regulator.
ReplyDeleteWe are looking at Stratco fencing. We put this up at our old house and we were very happy with it. Part of the good thing about it was its resistance to spray paint! Yes. We used to live beside a pathway that ran between two streets and every now and then you'd get someone come along and spray paint it.
ReplyDeleteYou buy a cheap spray can and it turned the spray paint into a water like substance that just wiped off. It was great!!!
omg thanks for the knotwood link! Looks great :) We wanted a timber fence and gate..so might look into this knotwood stuff haha
