Today we met my parents and their family friends at the block as they were up from the Gold Coast for the weekend. He's a builder so I wanted to see if he picked up on anything he thought should be rectified.
It was great to see them and luckily he didn't see anything too major. Thanks G!
- There is a spot on the gutter that needs fixing as its been damaged by the guys doing the eaves
- One wall has a bow in it and therefore the skirting doesn't sit flush
- The skirting's only seem to have been nailed on at the top and not at the bottom which means if you hit them at the bottom ie vacuuming they come off the wall at the top and crack the paint!
- The tiles in the ensuite shower niche are defiantly crooked and he thinks its because he hasn't used spacers
- The biggest thing is the lack of fall to the floor wastes in the wet areas. The ones in the showers seem OK the others don't seem to fall at all. I know its very rare that these would need to be used but whats the point having them if they wouldn't work?!~
Anyway nothing major but some things for me to subtly bring up in the next couple of months if they don't see and fix them.
We then went and checked out the new Metricon displays at Underwood, very nice! I took heaps of pics and will upload some of my fav's tomorrow. I think they are more similiar to the Sydney and Melbourne displays.
We then went to Clive Anthony's to look at fridges. We like the Electrolux EQE6007SB in stainless steel. 600 litres. Now to see what price Dad's friend can get it for us! It will fit perfectly in the fridge space we have!
Until tomorrow, fingers crossed this rain goes away for us all!

You were in our neck of the woods only 2 mins down the road at Underwood!
ReplyDeleteThe waste in our ensuite don't show any amount of fall at all. Potentially water can run off onto the carpet in the master bedroom. We'll have to have a mat of some sort in this area to stop moisture onto the carpet.
ReplyDeleteLove the fridge! Looks fantastic :)
ReplyDeleteThanks, unfortunatly now i've read some reviews that arent in the fridges favour :(
ReplyDeleteBack to the drawing board!
Try Samsung. We got the SRS684GDHSS. It has twin cooling system for efficient running.
