Site Clean Done!

So couldn't help but go back to the house this arvo to see the site clean. I was BUSTING to see this done. It finally looks manageable/ workable now rather than the clay muddy mess that was there before! Here are stacks of pics I took! Crazy to believe how excited I am about some tidy dirt! lol!
 Front of the house
 Front door area
At least he put all the rocks in one spot. Pity they are too heavy to move.
Pile of dirt for us to get rid of from next doors block! Plus bricks, they said the bricks would go! Grrr! Anyone want some bricks?!
I'm not convinced this corner has been dug down low enough :-I
 Woo hoo, no more mud!
We now have soft dirt and no mud!
I'm so excited about this side, weird hey!
Red dots have gone on everywhere! Our house has pox!
 Neat and tidy at last!
Idiot managed to bury the field drain on this side! I dug around with my boot but couldn't find it!
 Looking good!
Right hand side, all ready for the new silt net to go on top of the wall on Wednesday.
I guess they leave the silt net up? Probably a good thing!

Nice and tidy at last :-)
Front at last! I'm so excited we can now see the front! Bloody Dec is in the photo chasing away a toad! lol!
Door still needs another coat!

  3. Wow, that's looking pretty much like a finished house now. You could throw some sand around your rocks in the front yard and make a zen garden :)

Have you got a letterbox? You could always use the left over bricks to make that and if you're still going to get the front of the house rendered they can just throw a bit more on your brick letterbox to have it match the house.

    Good luck evicting the toads...

  4. oh, also meant to ask what kind of driveway you ended up getting and who you chose? I was originally thinking CCS but you seemed to not have such a good experience with them.

  5. Save a few of those bricks. You could use them for constructing a letterbox, garden edging or something (or even just as temporary stepping stones in the garden).
