Great news! I lodged our driveway crossover application with Ipswich City Council 8 weeks ago today and they have finally approved it! Thanks to Fiona in the Engineering Services Department who has been very patient with me chasing her weekly and for her updates on the problems at their end, we should see a signed copy of the approval on the email today followed by a copy in the mail this week.
This approval should normally only take about 3 business days but because this is a new estate the council didnt have the information they needed on their mapping system from the Dept of Environment and Resource Management. Now as soon as the certifier and our bank has approved us we're ready to go!

Not sure if you can zoom in on our electrical plan to see where all our money went but yes we have put in 4 external junction boxes for future power and lights outside. Its been busy lately but we're just busting for them to start so i can see all the selections come together! I think we're onto a winner with the monochromatic colour schemes!
ReplyDeleteYour blog automatically takes big images and resizes them down to fit the layout. When you click on the image it opens it full size in a new window so everyone should be able to see it full size (well at least I can).
ReplyDeleteWas there any one thing at your electrical appointment that bumped the cost up (eg all the downlights) or was it just another case, as we seem to be finding out the hard way ourselves, of little bits here and there add up to lots of $ in the end?
