So the cheque has arrived and I wish I could be more excited.
Mum went out to the site and the list of things to be done by the builder by handover hasn't been completed! The appliances have been put in and that's it! I'm so mad! He's had over 2 weeks and he hasn't held up his end of the bargain!
Now I have my tiler who wants to start at 7am tomorrow but a builder who doesn't deserve his final cheque until he has finished our house! He wont even answer his phone! Grrr!
This is meant to be an exiting time and its nothing but majorly stressful and depressing!
We also cant get the concrete out the back done as its still too wet and the silt from the guy out the back is still pouring into our back yard!

So once you have concrete done out back, instead of silt going into the soil, it's still going to fall onto your newly laid concrete? How are you going to prevent that? Who put those retaining walls in? Should have made them higher and with better drainage and membrane behind it, would have prevented that much silt coming over.

We're waiting for the builder out the back to finish/fix his drainage and landscaping to solve most of the problem. It might mean holding off pouring until that is solved. Its too wet now anyway! The guy who did the wall couldnt make it any higher or we would have needed approval.
