A big thanks to Nick & Lauren http://build.nlturner.com/2010/a-minor-win for their post about a win on electricals. We too were told we werent allowed to have a powerpoint on our island bench and were also told we couldnt have a downlight in our niche.
After a follow up email to our CSC today, she has rung to confirm that 'things have changed' and they can now allow us to do both.
Have to talk to our supervisor though to see if he is going to charge us the variation fee seeing as we're already on site but fingers crossed we can both done with no variation fee! Yay, this will save us getting an electrician back after handover to do both these small jobs we wanted originally!
