Hello again, I'm back!

Im home from Melbourne but its been a hectic few days so ill fill you in on whats been happening.
  • The tiler is starting at 7am tomorrow morning, we're meeting him there to make sure the new tiles are ok but on first look they seem fine this time, pfew!
  • The security screens go on all the windows and sliding doors tomorrow too.
  • The driveway was patched and sealed with the final colour (its very dark but i figure it will fade over time)
  • The air-con part was replaced so they are all working but not before a huge drama while i was away where Dec found the roof leaking in the rumpus room because the installers left a roof tile off! grrr! He fixed it in the rain and they got a mouthful and have since come back and fixed it all up!
  • The timber retaining wall to the left of our driveway got built yesterday but we wont see it finished until tomorrow.
  • We ordered a 6 drawer dresser in wenge to match our blinds for the master bedroom from Freedom today.
  • Carpet installation is booked in.
  • We organised delivery of our fridge, furniture and new bed today too.
  • Next weekend will be cleaning the house inside, cleaning the site, trip to the dump, bringing some furniture over in the trailer if we have room and maybe get some topsoil if we have time while we have the trailer.
  • Then with a bit of luck we will move in on 9-10 April, just in time for our 11 days leave over Easter!
Here are a couple of pics:

Not much left now, we found a dining room table we like but chairs are so expensive so I think I might have found some for a bargain on eBay! We still need bar stools, BBQ, bookcase for study (this is chosen), curtains for rumpus room, second quote for the decking, shutters to be installed, turf? fences? letterbox? landscaping? argh, still so much to do! Oh well fun times ahead very soon! :-) Getting exciting now at last!

  1. Cassandra your driveway looks awesome! Very similar to what we want and the colour is pretty much spot on to ours! hehe
